Introduced in 1984 the Comp TA, was geared towards the budding Triathlon market. hence the TA = Tri-Athlon. the COMP TA featured Tange #2 tubing and Shimano 600 componentry. the wheels were Araya Dark Anodized with Suzue Dark anodized hubs
The Comp TA name was dropped after 1984 as the rumor has it that there was legal issues with BF-Goodrich who also had automotive tires named Comp TA's
1984 was the first and last year for the Comp TA, with the Introduction of the Ironman in 1985.
